| 21 of 22 people found the following review helpful  as good as it gets: SE Z710i, By matt.mingkee (Brooklyn, NY United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Sony Ericsson Z710i Unlocked Cell Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, Memory Stick Micro Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Twilight Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory) this is the 2nd SE phone after T637, and this phone is just betterusing it with T-Mobile, it works pretty well as phone and modem voice: the strongest part, the best sounding phone I ever used in 6 years, the speakerphone is OK, not so loud reception: another strongest part, with T-Mobile, it can get some weak signal when all other don't get signal at all; however, the antenna is located at the top back (where the loop is), touching this part will lose reception operation: typical SE style, pretty easy for SE users, 3 dedicated buttons: web, messaging, task cam: excellent, even though it doesn't have auto-focus like K750 and K790, it looks pretty good, even it's better than nokia 6270 bt: very easy to use and pair, with pc suite installed, file transfer and sync is just a piece of cake, the transfer speed is 300-400kB, this is the maximum of bt 2.0 speed screen: the main screen is pretty bright, even I have... It also feels a bit light in the bottom when you hold it open in your hand.. almost a hollow feel. But other that that this is a pretty cool little phone with a 2MP camera. It also seems to get really good reception as another reviewer has stated. The antenna is in the loop on the phone so you have to get use to not covering it with your finger. The way the phone is shaped you want to hold the phone with your index finger convering the loop which can lose reception...so you just have to remember that when talking to someone. The inside screen is really really bright! I turned it all the way down to save the battery and the phone is still bright like a normal cell. The camera is more than decent, (much like the 1.0-2.0 megapixel cybershot cameras of the nat so recent past) No problems what so ever, the design is rather smart and simple, without the lack of elegance. The flip-phone factor lets you talk comfortably, and safely with the antena safely away form your brain. The surface is a curious texture that seems to prevent any scratches. Tiny design details that make it a Sony product. AMAZING battery life, surprising for an MP3 phone. |
